IPNEWS: The Ceremony was marked by a strong message from the commander in chief (CIC), Emmanuel D. Gonquio, who issued a warning to the Boakai-Koung led government. He made it clear that being a part of the alliance did not mean that the EFFL would passively observe any errors made by the government.
During his speech, CIC Emmanuel D. Gonquio emphasized that the EFFL did not join the alliance to perpetuate the mistakes of previous administrations.
By sending out this caveat, he highlighted the EFFL’s firm stance on upholding accountability and ensuring that the government operates in the best interest of the people.
CIC Gonquio further noted that the commissioning of the 37 individuals into leadership roles in Montserrado County signifies the EFFL’s commitment to fostering strong and capable leadership at the local level. With this move, the EFFL aims to empower competent individuals who will work towards driving positive change and development within the county.
