The CDC Headquarters construction committee visited the project site to assess progress. Led by Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa, the team met with contractors and reviewed the status of the project. The ground and first floors elevation are complete, and work on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors is set to begin soon.
Receiving the donation, Chairman Koffa thanked the CDC United Family in Europe for the cement donation and encouraged other cdcians and Liberians to keep donating.
He also thanked contractors for their work.
Koffa dismissed rumors of criminal charges against the party intended to “demoralize” supporters, reaffirming that the groundbreaking for the New national headquarters proceeded as planned on October 18, 2025.
In October 2025, Rep. Koffa urged the government to create a National Social Safety Net Fund to support vulnerable Liberians, recommending cuts to non-essential government benefits to fund it.
Following his resignation as Speaker of the House in May 2025, Koffa has shifted focus toward a “rebuilding drive” for the CDC, emphasizing that the party’s strength lies in the “hearts and minds” of its members rather than a physical building.
Koffa is currently pushing back against a jury disbandment in an ongoing arson trial related to the Capitol Building fire, expressing confidence that evidence will clear him and his co-defendants.
Koffa’s leadership of the construction committee is part of a broader 23-member body appointed by former President George Weah to restore the party’s organizational capacity.
